This year's blues fest was also notable for introducing South Florida to 19-year-old, Mississippi-based country-blues stomper Slick Ballinger, whose talent is raw but undeniable, and for the first time, extending an invitation to incredibly entertaining chitlin circuit veteran Bobby Rush, whose sexy songs and voluptuous backup dancers have long been deemed too racy for the event.
